International Symposium View of Northeast Asia Forest Fire from Cosmos Jointly 2nd Regional Northeast Asia Wildland Fire Network Meeting Sendai, Miyagi, Japan – January 17-18, 2005 Welcome to the International Symposium View of Northeast Asia Forest Fire from Cosmos and jointed 2nd Regional Northeast Asia Wildland Fire Network Meeting web site. The Center for Northeast Asian Studies Tohoku University (CNEAS) will host this symposium on January 17-18, 2005 at the CNEAS, Tohoku University in Sendai,Miyagi, Japan. The purpose of this Symposium is to make discussions on Forest Fire Studies by using satellite and to expand the scope to include all Northeast Asian users. This Symposium theme is: A Satellite using for Forest Fire. The goal is to meet with researchers who use data from satellites and provide a study results to help the Northeast Asian people. We are grateful for the sponsors of this Symposium who include: President budget of Tohoku University, and Director budget of the CNEAS. This Symposium will provide researchers and Graduate School students the opportunity to discuss on using satellite images.
